What to do when someone dies

IN HOSPITAL/CARE HOME
The staff/Bereavement team will advise you when the doctors have completed the Medical Certificate of the cause of death this will be sent direct to the local councils registery office to enable you to make an appointment to register the death,with the local Registar of Deaths.This is done in person at the registary
AT HOME
Firstly please contact your Doctor/Palitive Care Nurse, who will attend to certify that death has taken place. They will variefy the death at this point your choosen funeral director can remove the body from the place of death and bring it into their care . The Doctor/Nurse will then send the information to your loved ones GP who will issue the Medical Certificate of death and forward it to the local Registar to enable you to make an appointment to register the death with the Registar of Death in your local area .
From that point we will then arrange to meet with you and guide you every step of the way. Nothing will be too much trouble and your every request, if it is within our power,will be met.
